Cardcaptor Sakura Clow Cards in Manga

In responding to a discussion on AoD, I noticed that lots of sites list the 52 Clow Cards that appear in the Cardcaptor Sakura anime, but very few mention which cards were in the manga (where there are only 19 cards). So for anyone else who may wonder, here is a list of the cards that Sakura must capture in the manga, in their approximate order of capture, along with a few highlight notes of differences in big events.

  • Windy
  • Wood
  • Jump
  • Fly - Sakura has a foretelling dream that helps her realize the normally gentle Fly is misbehaving because its hurt; after its capture, Kero shows her how to heal hurt cards by putting them in the bok after her name is on them
  • Watery
  • Illusion
  • Flower - in the manga, its after the capture of this card that Shaoran appears
  • Thunder
  • Sword
  • Shadow - after this card, Kaho appears in the manga, but she doesn't show herself to Sakura for a few more chapters
  • Mirror
  • Shield - Kaho reveals herself to Sakura between these two cards
  • Maze
  • Erase
  • Glow
  • Dark & Light - Kero meets Kaho
  • Firey - Kero regains true form
  • Earthy - Shaoran screams Sakura's first name and they start calling each other by them instead of by last names
